Overview

Metricmine is a boutique data management and business intelligence services company. Our particular focus is being able to offer terabyte level analysis on a “petty cash” budget, leveraging analytical databases – Vertica in particular, to get 50-100x query time improvements.

“Quotes”

We have cooperated with Metricmine on many customer challenges successfully and are pleased that Metricmine has invested significant focus on developing deep expertise in Vertica. We continue to look forward to working with Metricmine together.

– Min Xiao, Manager, Implementation Services and Training, Vertica Systems

The cloud BI stack works as smoothly and seamlessly as if it were one product. In fact, the products interoperate even better than the so-called complete BI stacks offered by larger players, for example. With very limited time and effort, Metricmine was able to get our cloud-based analytic engine up and running, so they could focus on real business intelligence issues rather than technology issues.

– Peter Relan, Sibblingz and CrowdStar Chairman

Our target markets are companies which have unmet data analysis needs: www data, machine/sensor data, and consumer/government data. We started business intelligence in 1996, when the term was still not widely understood. Our origins are in analysis of ERP/CRM data, and we can help you in business analytics in areas such as quote to cash and procure to pay.

By being small and focused, we can provide quick turnarounds, in some cases, working reports within 24 hours of first client contact! (Yes, cloud computing really does make deployments that quick.)

Our customers include Tableau Software (BI and visualization products), Playdom (social gaming on Facebook/Myspace/iPhone), AuroraFeint (iPhone app portal), Crowdstar (facebook applications), and Sibblingz (an online multi-user virtual world).
